Caramelo measures approximately 10.5″ wide by 14″ high when flat.

After filling, its width and height vary slightly to accommodate the contents inside.

Every single Caramelo is a true labor of love, meticulously crafted, glued, stitched, assembled, and finished by hand in our studio.

To give Caramelo its unique rag-doll charm, each pocket is 100% hand-stitched all the way around the edges. No machines here! 😮 The stitching transforms the cardstock into an actual pocket to lock your surprise goodies inside. It also allows the pocket to be gently opened by cutting the thread, offering a perfect alternative to tearing for those who wish to preserve their Caramelo intact.

We use two different kinds of cardstock to create Caramelo’s body/skin depending on the edition:

Classic Caramelos are created using warm kraft cardstock, giving them their signature natural, cozy look and handmade feel.

Seasonal Caramelos are made with white cardstock to allow for printed colors, illustrations, and themed finishes.
